PBA Champ, Kyle "Double-Pik" Troup Lands Afro Sheen Endorsement ... NFL QB, Colin Kaeperni

PORTLAND, Maine – Kyle "Double-Pik" Troup of Taylorsville, N.C., and Sweden’s Jesper Svensson became the first team of two-handed players to win the Mark Roth/Marshall Holman Profesional Bowlers Association Doubles Championship Sunday at Bayside Bowl, securing "DP" Troup a rather lucrative endorsement contract with the Afro Sheen Company. Afro Sheen, creator of the Afro-Pik, became the first black company to sponsor a nationally syndicated television program "Soul Train" and now is the proud sponsor of "DP" Troup. NFL Quarterback, Colin Kaepernick was dropped by the ASC.

In an official statement from the ASC, Eric Johnson, son of founder's George and Joan Johnson, remarked, "We just think that Kyle is representing our brand and core values better than any other public spokesperson at this time. His double-pikking skills are truly something to behold. It's just a better fit. We know that this is a volatile time in our great nation and we just want to end up on the right side of things," Mr. Johnson continued. "We've had an incredible run with Colin but with his single-pikking skills, we felt it time to bid farewell. We wish him the best of luck and hope that he continues to strive in all that he does."

Mr. Kaepernick sparked a national debate and controversy after exercising his First Amendment Rights by refusing to stand for the national anthem prior to games in protest of the treatment of African-Americans in the U.S. The maneuver was praised by some as thoughtful, powerful and admirable amid heightened tensions nationwide about racial relations and the treatment of African-Americans by law enforcement. It was criticized by other observers as being disrespectful to the flag (which repeatedly got its feelings hurt) and military members.

The ASC stated that although they respected Mr. Kaepernick's views, they had felt that the playing field was no place to voice political opinions. The company also sited that the PBA does not play the national anthem before it's matches so therefore there won't be any conflicts of interest to endure.

US President Trump, after hearing the news, tweeted:

"That is a very great thing. Kyle's afro is the greatest afro I've ever seen. I've never seen such a great afro. So great it needs two piks" Trump continued, "Colin is a single pik LOSER! First the NFL, now Afro Sheen."

Mr. Kaepernick wasn't available for comment because he is currently in Somalia doing humanitarian work and creating the Colin Kaepernick foundation which has raised over $600,000 for the betterment of society.
